Petition: Pedestrian Crossing on Woodseats Road
A survey on traffic and transport issues in Woodseats undertaken by Graves Park Labour Party in summer 2021 found 70% of respondents in favour of establishing a crossing on Woodseats Road.
Woodseats Road is a long road in a residential area and has no pedestrian crossing currently. A crossing would provide better and safer access to shops on Woodseats and for parents and children at Woodseats Primary School.
The local council has a commitment to active travel including improving walking and cycling infrastructure. We urge the council to look into establishing a pedestrian crossing somewhere on Woodseats Road, to be determined in consultation with residents, and to make funds available for this.
